Activate your purchase
- Download the release from the official download page and run DeskLatch.
- Open the license activation window.
- Enter the same license email you used at checkout and paste the code from your purchase email.
- Activate while connected to the internet. After success, configure and test your response rules.
Which code goes on which PC?
A personal one-PC purchase has one code for one computer. A personal three-PC purchase has one code that can activate three computers. A business purchase has one unique code per workstation, all tied to the purchase email. Give each workstation a different business code.
Changing computers
Release the activation from the old computer before activating its replacement, where the app offers that option. If the old computer is unavailable or you need help with a device limit, contact support with your purchase details.
Missing an email?
Allow time for payment verification and email processing. Check the license email you entered, including its spam folder. Contact info@harknesslabs.com with your PayPal transaction ID and purchase email if you need assistance.
Update notices are optional
Check for updates at startup is off by default. Turn it on to compare the installed version with the product website's version.txt when DeskLatch starts. A newer version adds Update available to the tray menu. No automatic download or installation occurs.

Start with test mode, then describe the Windows version, connected hardware, chosen rule and observed result in your support email. Never send passwords or sensitive local event history unnecessarily.
